Showing data in your product
Every tier may display Mansa API data inside your own app, dashboard, or website — that is what the API is for. On the Free tier, include visible attribution (“Data by MansaAPI” with a link to mansaapi.com) anywhere the data appears. Paid tiers don’t require attribution, though we appreciate it.
Caching responses
Caching to reduce your own request volume and latency is allowed on every tier, within the windows in the table above. Caching is for serving your application — building a stored copy of our datasets to serve as a data product is redistribution, covered below.
Reselling or redistributing raw data
Data redistribution requires the Institutional tier. Redistribution means providing Mansa API data onward as data: reselling feeds, mirroring datasets, bulk exports for third parties, or operating an API whose substantive content is our data. If your users consume the data inside your product’s own interface and features, that is display, not redistribution — you’re fine on any tier.
Institutional redistribution agreements include scope, attribution, and pricing tailored to the use — talk to us.
AI agents and model training
Agents calling the API at runtime are welcome on every tier — retrieval, tool use, and answering user questions with live responses is display, not training. See the AI agent guide.
Training or fine-tuning models on accumulated API responses is different: Professional allows training on reference data (Identity and Location suites); training on market data requires an Institutional agreement.
White-labeling
Presenting Mansa API data as your own branded data feed — to your clients, with your name on the feed itself — is available under Institutional agreements only.
What we license to you
Our datasets are compiled from official and public sources, normalized, verified, and enriched — the methodology page documents sources per suite. What you license from us is this compiled, cleaned, and continuously maintained database, not the underlying public facts themselves.
