Terms of Service

Mansa API is operated by Mansa Labs. Mansa Labs is a trading name of Serene Circle LLC (“Mansa Labs”, “we”, “us”). By creating an API key or calling any Mansa API endpoint, you agree to these terms.

Mansa API provides programmatic access to African market data, financial reference data (banks, mobile networks, currencies), and geographic reference data through REST endpoints, SDKs, and machine-readable specifications. What the service covers, how data is sourced, and how fresh it is are described in our methodology.

You are responsible for keeping your API key confidential. Keys are issued per person or organization and may not be shared publicly or embedded in client-side code where they can be extracted. If you believe a key has been compromised, contact us and we will rotate it.

We may suspend or revoke keys that violate these terms, abuse the service, or attempt to circumvent rate limits or tier gating.

You agree not to:

• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense data beyond what your tier permits — see data licensing for what each tier allows.
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or tier restrictions.
• Use the service for unlawful purposes or to harm others.
• Misrepresent Mansa API data as your own original dataset when redistribution terms require attribution.

The Free tier requires no payment. Paid tiers are billed in advance on a monthly basis at the prices shown on the pricing page. We may change pricing with at least 30 days’ notice; changes take effect at your next billing cycle. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

If a payment fails, we will notify you and provide a grace period before downgrading your key to the Free tier. We do not delete keys for failed payments.

Market data, fundamentals, and all other datasets are provided for informational purposes only. Nothing in the service constitutes investment advice, a recommendation, or an offer to buy or sell any security. Verify independently before making financial decisions.

We work to publish accurate, well-sourced data with clear freshness targets, but the service and all data are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Our correction policy is described in the methodology.

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service on Free, Starter, or Professional tiers. Contractual uptime commitments (SLAs) are available on the Institutional tier.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mansa Labs’ total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including trading losses or lost profits.

You may stop using the service at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these terms. Sections 6, 8, and any accrued payment obligations survive termination.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the changelog and, for paid accounts, by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
